News and Announcements

Ash Wednesday and Lenten Services
The church season of “Lent” begins on Wednesday, March 5. This day is called “Ash Wednesday”, and many pastors will rub ashes on the foreheads of their congregation. This is a sign of mourning and repentance for our sins.

Lent is a time when many Christians prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline. We celebrate this season at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and would like to invite you to worship with us.

Our Wednesday evening services will begin at 7:00 pm, with a Soup Supper in the Lower Sanctuary beginning at 6:00 pm. Please plan on joining us for fellowship over a free dinner and consider bringing a pot of your favorite soup to share. The services will be held on Wednesdays from March 5 – April 9. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
PTG News
Our next PTG meeting is Monday March 3, at 6:30pm. We will meet in the 6th grade classroom. We will be making plans for our upcoming events, as well as making decisions for next school year. We hope to see everyone there! Don’t forget that your attendance counts towards your Parent Volunteer Hours.
Work Party
Please plan on joining us for our first Work Party of the year on Saturday, March 8 from 9 am to 12 pm. We will be tackling a number of projects, including painting the block wall, replacing worn stair treads, cleaning walls, and cleaning the kitchen. Bring your family and friends and their time will count towards your parent volunteer hours! Have a specific skill, let us know and we will make sure we have a project ready for you!
Fundraiser Dinner
Please plan on joining us for our next fundraising dinner on Thursday, March 13 at Chuck E. Cheese’s at 13101 Harbor Blvd. in Garden Grove. Make sure you invite your family and friends!
